What is Lines & Volume?
Facial aging comes from two main processes: repeated muscle movement that etches expression lines, and gradual loss of volume and collagen that leads to hollows and folds. Neuromodulators such as Botox relax specific muscles to soften dynamic lines. Dermal fillers add volume and structure where it has been lost.

How we evaluate
Your consultation includes a facial assessment at rest and in motion, a review of your medical history, medications and previous treatments, and a discussion of your goals. Your physician recommends a product, amount and placement for your anatomy — sometimes that means less, not more.
Treatment options at DR WW Dermatology
- Botox. A neuromodulator that relaxes the muscles behind forehead lines, frown lines and crow's feet.
- Juvederm. Hyaluronic acid fillers for lips, cheeks, smile lines and other areas; hyaluronic acid fillers can be dissolved if needed.
- Radiesse. A collagen-stimulating filler often used to restore structure along the cheeks and jawline.
- Bellafill. A long-lasting filler used for smile lines and certain rolling acne scars.
Not every option suits every patient, and availability of specific devices varies by office. Your physician will recommend a plan after an in-person evaluation.
What to expect: treatment, recovery and aftercare
Most injectable appointments take 15 to 45 minutes. You may have mild swelling, tenderness or bruising for a few days. Botox takes about one to two weeks to show its full effect and typically lasts three to four months; fillers show results right away and last from several months to longer depending on the product and area. Cosmetic injectables are not covered by insurance. At our Elmhurst office, cosmetic appointments are scheduled on dedicated days — call to confirm availability at the office you prefer.

Will I look frozen or overdone?
Our physicians aim for natural, balanced results and adjust the dose to your goals. You can always start conservatively and add more at a follow-up.
Is there downtime after Botox or fillers?
Most people return to normal activities the same day. Avoid strenuous exercise and pressing on treated areas for the rest of the day.
How long do fillers last?
It depends on the product and treatment area, ranging from several months to a few years for certain products.
